Are You Waiting For Enlightenment?
I was one of those people who was waiting for a huge breakthrough on December 21, 2012. Like something magical was going to descend and bring all sentient beings into Enlightened Awareness.
Now, I believe that two things have to happen to become aware of our already existing Enlightenment As The Source. One: we have to have Source Experiences. These are those moments of Silence when everything is revealed as oneness, infinite, and eternal; a remembrance of who we truly are as the Unbounded Source. Two: we have to dismantle every thought we have ever had, because they are all erroneous for some reason. Letting go of our most cherished opinions, and judgements about how the world works, and what is good, bad, expected and polite is a great place to start dismantling the mind to make room for the Infinite Freedom of Source Awareness.
You don’t have to wait for Enlightenment, you can realize it right now by using any kind of conflict to begin dismantling your mind: you can be sure that those uncomfortable moments contain some THOUGHT that is not serving the awareness of your Enlightenment. Just paying attention to your thoughts changes everything; the next step is letting go of all your convictions.
It may help to consider that keeping convictions makes you a convict of the mind.
Even if you have a spontaneous epiphany (Satori), the Enlightenment will not be complete and you cannot abide full time in the Awareness of Source, without the dismantling of the mind. See the STOP SIGNS on the Mystic 7 Principle pages to begin dismantling the mind of its erroneous thoughts.
To begin having Source Experiences, start with meditation practices that lead to the Silence of Samadhi like the Atma Shatakam or The Source guided meditations.
